About the course
Door staff play a critical role in maintaining safety, managing behaviour and supporting compliance in licensed premises. However, they cannot work in isolation. Effective communication and cooperation between venue staff and door staff is essential to prevent incidents, reduce conflict and protect the premises licence. This short CPD course is designed for bar staff, floor staff, supervisors and managers. It explains how venue staff can work more effectively alongside door staff by sharing information, supporting decisions and maintaining a consistent approach to safety and customer management. The course does not replace SIA training. Instead, it focuses on teamwork, professional boundaries and shared responsibility within licensed premises.
