About the course
Selling age-restricted products carries serious legal responsibilities. Staff must understand not only direct underage sales, but also proxy sales, where an adult attempts to buy a restricted item on behalf of someone who is underage. This Level 1 course gives learners a clear, practical understanding of how to recognise, prevent and respond to proxy sales and attempted underage purchases. It covers common age-restricted items including alcohol, tobacco, vapes, knives, fireworks, lottery products, solvents, energy drinks, and other controlled or restricted goods. The course is designed for frontline staff, new starters, supervisors, managers, door staff, delivery staff and anyone involved in serving, selling, checking, delivering or supervising restricted products. This is a level 1 CPD qualification. 0.25 CPD Hours
