Ask for Angela Awareness (Licensed Premises)

Ask for Angela is a nationally recognised safety scheme that allows people who feel unsafe, threatened or uncomfortable to discreetly ask for help in licensed premises. This short CPD course helps staff understand what Ask for Angela is, how the scheme works in practice, and how to respond calmly and appropriately when someone asks for help. The focus is on discretion, safeguarding and early intervention, rather than confrontation or investigation. The course supports licensed premises in meeting safeguarding expectations, promoting a safer night‑time environment and demonstrating responsible management.

This course is suitable for: Bar and front‑of‑house staff Floor staff and supervisors Door staff and managers Licence holders and duty managers No previous safeguarding or vulnerability training is required.

On successful completion of this course, learners are awarded a CPD‑recognised certificate. The certificate provides formal evidence of continuing professional development and can be retained for individual CPD records, staff training files, or inspection purposes. This activity equates to 0.25 CPD hours. Certificates are available to download immediately after achieving the required pass mark in the end‑of‑course assessment.
