About the Course

Selling alcohol comes with serious responsibilities. One of the most important is making sure you do not sell alcohol to under-18s. Failing to follow age verification laws can lead to fines, prosecution, or even loss of your premises licence. This course will give you the knowledge and confidence to apply age verification policies correctly, check ID properly, and refuse sales when necessary. This is a Level 1 CPD Qualification.

What You’ll Learn

By the end of this course, you’ll be able to: Understand the Licensing Act 2003 requirements on age verification. Apply Challenge 21 / Challenge 25 policies in practice. Recognise what counts as acceptable ID. Handle refusals confidently and professionally. Recognise the legal and business consequences of underage sales.
