About the course
The Award for Personal Licence Holders (APLH) is a nationally recognised qualification required by law for anyone wishing to apply for a Personal Licence under the Licensing Act 2003. This course provides a clear and practical understanding of alcohol licensing law, the responsibilities of a personal licence holder, and how to promote the four licensing objectives in licensed premises. Successful completion allows learners to apply for a Personal Licence and act as a Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS).
